Vendor Welcome Letter

Dear Vendor/Presenter:

The Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program Association (TEDPA) is a national membership organization formed to support programs involved in Statewide, or jurisdiction-wide, distribution of specialized telecommunications equipment for persons who have disabilities.

TEDPA holds an annual conference to share information with its members about program administration, and provide a forum for discussion concerning any issues related to specialized telecommunications equipment for people with disabilities and its distribution.

The conference allows an opportunity for vendors to showcase any telecommunications equipment and interact with State Program Administrators. Often it is at this conference that States identify vendors to put on their notification list for new RFP’s when they are adding products to their program.

There are also limited slots for vendors to provide a 20 minute presentation on any new products/services that may benefit the State’s programs. Please complete the application for a new product presentation included in this packet if this is something that interests you.

Past conferences have been very successful; however we plan to make the 2010 conference our best ever.

If you have never participated in the TEDPA conference then you have missed an exciting opportunity to grow your business through direct contact with the decision makers for the States.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Soaring Into the Future” and the goal is that together we will map a future that ensures no clients are left behind as new and emerging technology continues to advance and change.

The 2010 conference will open a vendor reception on Wednesday evening, October 13th, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This will provide you with an opportunity to show your products and meet everyone before the conference begins on Monday.

TEDPA is always trying to make the conference fun and exciting for all, so we do have trivia questions scattered throughout the conference and are always looking for interesting prizes. At the 2009 conference many vendors donated prizes which were offered at varying times during the conference and this offered another opportunity to highlight your business. If this is something you want to do, please be sure your application is noted.

Much of the success of our past conferences is due to the generosity of our Vendors and we thank you and look forward to working with you all again.
