Member Chair Letter & Welcome

Dear TEDPA Members,

 

Welcome to the 2010 TEDPA Conference in Durham, North Carolina. We are anticipating a wonderful conference and with our theme, “Soaring Into The Future” that’s what we fully intend to do. As most of you know the first flight was in Kitty Hawk, N.C. with the Wright brothers. They were pioneers who did not limit themselves in moving forward. Granted it was an airplane and not telephone equipment, but our members are equally far sighted. As technology changes, we are constantly looking at the possibilities. 
Once again we will have the support of our vendors in attendance. Having the time to visit with the vendors about their products and new technology is a great opportunity for us. What makes our conference unique is that the vendors are in the room listening to what we have to discuss and sharing information with us. There is no other way for us to have the open discussion, hands on experience and ability to not only give feedback to the vendors, but to see changes in the equipment because we gave that feedback.
We are grateful to our host state of North Carolina and Tom Galey who is the conference chair. He and his team have been hard at work assisting the TEDPA board in planning a great conference. As usual, the TEDPA board is incorporating your feedback from our last conference, and we feel we are putting together another incredible conference.
Our conference is being held at the Marriott Durham Convention Center. The hotel is located in a great area, near restaurants and shopping and there are many activities to partake of. Bring your adventurous spirits and come enjoy a memorable conference and a wonderful location.
