Arkansas Telecommunications Access Program

About Us

The Telecommunications Access Program provides a loan program of telecommunication equipment to eligible individuals. The program serves Arkansans who are deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind speech impaired, with a visual, physical and cognitive disability that impairs their ability to effectively access the telecommunications network.

Services

The type of equipment that's distribted are telephone signaler systems, TTYs, telebraille devices, large visual displays, amplified phones, electrolarynx, photo phones, hands free speaker phones, talking phones, captioned telephones and caller ID phones.

 

TAP staff will provide assistance in selecting the equipment that works best for you, if requested. Staff will also provide training on the device you select to insure you receive the full benefit from its use.
