About Us

The State of New Mexico, Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons provides effective leadership, education, advocacy and programs to reduce barriers to the social, economic, educational, cultural and intellectual well - being of Deaf and Hard of Hearing New Mexicans and their families, friends and colleagues.

 

The Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program was established by the New Mexico Legislature in Chapter 54 of the Laws of 1993. The purpose of the program is to distribute free, residential use telecommunications equipment for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind and Speech Disabled New Mexicans.
