About Us

The Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program (TEDP) provides specialized telephone equipment at no charge to financially qualifying residents of North Carolina who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind, or Speech Impaired.

Services

Currently available equipment includes text telephones (TTYs or TDDs), amplified telephones, hearing aids with t-coil technology, large visual display telephones, voice-carryover telephones, electrolarynx, and speech aid equipment.

Other services provided include information on products and services, assessement of equipment needs, demonstration of NCTEDP equipment, in home consultation, application assistance, installation of new telephone equipment and technical assistance.
