SCSDB Partnership
The SC School for the Deaf and the Blind (SCSDB) partners with the SC Office of Regulatory Staff (ORS) to administer SCEDP. Providing services to people who are deaf or blind, to their families, and to the professionals who serve them, the SCSDB offers:

• K-12 education programs at Spartanburg main campus
• Statewide K-12 educational programs for public schools
• Early intervention programs for infants and toddlers
• Summer programs for children who are deaf or blind
• Educational assessments
• Sign language, braille, and large-print services
• Assistive communication device distribution
• Professional and family workshops Interpreting services
• Accessibility and accommodations services

Services

How to Apply
People can apply to the SCEDP by choosing a product that meets their needs, obtaining a professional certification of a qualifying disability, and submitting the required application materials. There are no income requirements. SCEDP reaches out to people who are:

Deaf
Hard of hearing
Deaf-blind
Blind/low vision with hearing loss
Speech impaired


Provider Directory
We invite professional certifiers to join our free provider directory. Customers can search our online directory to locate a nearby provider to certify their disability. Member providers also get a free webpage to educate our customers about their services. Who can join the directory?
